KCP is very intensive, but if you do your homework and study and make an effort, you will learn SO fast.

David from Winter 2023

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The Kamakura and DisneySea trips were fantastic, great experiences to have with my friends and teachers.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The program as a whole was incredibly productive. KCP is very intensive, but if you do your homework and study and make an effort, you will learn SO fast.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The Kanji textbook, and group/partner conversation practice.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

You have to make an effort to study and do your homework to keep up, but it will be worth it and you won’t learn Japanese faster anywhere else.

Testimonials

Choosing KCP was largely to do with the ease of application. A lot of other summer courses required a lot of paperwork and recommendations and transcripts that are a big pain to gather. But KCP’s application process was very easy and self-explanatory! Also, the student life photos looked interesting!
