What if I lose my PASMO/ Suica card?

That’s a big advantage to these cards.  If you lose it, you can replace it at the train pass office with a processing fee.  Here’s how:

PASMO Card

The day you lose your pass, bring your official ID (passport or resident ID) to any Tokyo Metro subway station. Report the loss to station staff at the station’s ticket gate.  You’ll receive an exchange ticket for the pass replacement, usable the next day.

The next day, go to a Tokyo Metro train pass office with the exchange ticket (you can do this within 14 days of receiving the exchange ticket) and pay ¥1010 (¥500 processing charge + ¥510 yen card deposit) to receive your replacement.  At this time, your lost pass will be deactivated remotely.

Suica Card

The process is the same, except that you’ll be going to a JR line station instead of Tokyo Metro, and the place to get the new pass is called the Midori no Madoguchi.  You’ll find Midori no Madoguchi in major JR line stations.
